The Mary Deveau Women's Sober Living House is located in Plattsburgh, New York is a non-profit sober living residence that creates a safe, structured, and supportive environment for women in recovery from alcoholism and/or drug addiction.
The Mary Deveau house is an affordable alcohol and drug-free environment that provides a positive place for recovery. The Mary Deveau House promotes personal recovery by providing an atmosphere that encourages residents to develop a structured, disciplined clean and sober lifestyle. The primary requirements for residency include: the desire to be clean and sober, follow house rules and contribute to house expenses while maintaining full-time employment.
The Mary Deveau House is designed for women in early recovery from addiction and/or alcoholism. We are based on the principles of 12-Step recovery and require active participation on the part of the women living here. The structure in place is geared toward helping to keep our guests accountable and proactively involved in creating a wonderful new life in sobriety!
Each member of our house will be expected to actively seek employment and contribute to the day-to-day costs of living here. For those coming to Mary Deveau who do not currently have employment or finances, we offer an initial grace period in which to find a job and begin contributing their share. We completely understand that times can be difficult for you in early sobriety, and as a charitable non-profit family environment dedicated to sobriety and positive life change, we are here to support and love you through this time as long as you are willing to put forth the effort!
