Perhaps the most important thing to keep in mind when evaluating the many sober-living environments available in our community is the fact that no single formula that will work for every individual. The transition between active treatment and a fulfilling life that you can manage - and your loved ones deserve - is a challenging and highly personal journey.

Sunset Villa has created an environment that seeks the balance between personal needs and aspirations, and proven, structured transitional living. The framework of our community is largely governed by our Twelve-Step Program and house rules which are adapted from those set forward by the Sober-Living Coalition.

We screen our residents carefully to ensure that they share at least one common goal: to achieve success in a safe, secure and nurturing environment free from the destructive elements that can tend to fuel repetitive and unhealthy lifestyles.

Ultimately, our goal is to help you learn to lead the happiest and healthiest life possible in a tranquil, engaging and supportive setting.

While it is true that re-discovering a sober and healthy path is a very individual and private process, we also have learned that structure is critical to maintaining an effective, peaceful and safe sober-living facility. Our residents are expected to work a Twelve-Step Program, attend meetings, respect the privacy and personal space of fellow residents and follow house rules which are adapted from those set forth by the Sober-Living Coalition. Onsite drug testing is mandatory, as are check-in procedures. Clients who for whatever reason cannot submit to drug-testing or follow house rules may be dismissed from our facility.
